What to do ...
when your teacher gives you the assignment to write a 50-word mini-saga containing these words: ‘stale ashtray’, ‘flock of geese’, ‘kitchen sink’, ‘gas stove’ and ‘river’.
Echoes of ghosts
You can see a river
from my kitchen window
accompanied
by a flock of geese.
The bubbles in the kitchen sink
were bursting like my hopes.
The echo of
the slamming door
still rang in my ears
as I longingly gazed
at the white stale ashtray
on the gas stove.
There we go. There were lots of other really good stories in class but as I don't have access to them I can not upload them.
Au revoir, little biscuits (*blop blop blop* go the bubbles)
Write a ‘piece of art’. Apparently, that's what I did. (so not bragging)
