Mallorca '12
That was the destination for my autumn holidays in 2012: Mallorca
And that is what I remember: lots of Germans, pizza, chips and pasta in the hotel (that was basically the menu) and the beautiful capital Palma. Here are some pics that we took to show some of the nice spots:
Botanicactus - basically a garden full of cactuses
I know that Mallorca is a very popular holiday destination (especially amongst Germans) and we spent some quality time at the beach (the one in the north west, and there were even tiny little fish extremely close to the beach!^^) and the day in Palma was the highlight with lots of lovely Jugendstil buildings, tourist traps and cute cafés but otherwise ... I was a little bit disappointed. Mallorca seems to be more of a place for beach holidays. Also, the hotel makes a big difference. I am not someone who spends his "holiday days" in and around the hotel but you start your day from there, so it better be at least half decent. Nice food and comfy beds should be provided before going on adventures!^^ And the weather is very important of course and it was actually quite nice.
So, Lily concludes: Mallorca has a few nice spots and if the weather is nice, you could have a good time but personally, I wouldn't go back there and I wouldn't recommend staying longer than a week.
Au revoir, little biscuits *splash*

Palma
There were loads of these buskers in Palma. The guy had me sit under him and then he imitated farting, ugh^^ |
impolite service but absolutely delicious pudding brezels! (Forn de Teatre) |
Palma cathedral |
near our hotel Calla Romantica, Riu Hotel
a beautiful beach in the north westThe Moorish Garden - The Gardens of Alfabia |
and this, my dear friends, is a very, very old chair from the fifteenth century (apparently a scene from Tristan and Isolde) |

I'm not entirely sure if that actually is a cactus but if you look at the trunk you can see thorns. |
