Why you should ... read Jane Austen books

Because...

1) it's a classic. People have loved her books over the course of about 200 years. Somebody probably already recommended it to you.
2) you'll look intellectual. Go for that, rather than reading Fifty Shades of Grey or what have you not.
3) you'll laugh. It's funny and witty and it's
4) fascinating. It's the "normal" lives, hopes and dreams we get to experience of people who lived quite some time ago! You'll learn subconsciously and that is the best way of learning, isn't it?
5) If you get a really nice edition it'll be a great reading experience. I mean, I don't judge a book by its cover (at least I try not to) but it does make it nicer reading a pretty book.
6) Jane Austen only writes books with happy endings!! Doesn't that sound promising!? After having read so many devastating endings ... I know, I know, it's not always about the ending but the story. However, a good and proper ending never harmed anyone one. And we know it's not a fairy tale.

Go ahead, overcome your inner pigdog!

Au revoir, little biscuits (*cuddled up in a blanket with a good book - I suppose you can guess by whom!*)
