Why you should ... listen to Smoke + Mirrors

I loved it. I really did.
This album is pretty different from "Night visions" but some songs seem similar to the ones from the last album.
To be honest, it took me some time to warm up to the very rocky style of it, for example "Gold". I hesitated before I bought it but because I loved the last album so much I thought I'd give it a go. And it was absolutely worth it.
I can't decide which my favourite track is but all of them are songs you want to turn the volume up to and dance around the room.
‘Shots’, ‘Polaroid’, ‘It comes back to you’, ‘Trouble’ and ‘Hopeless Opus’ are probably my favourite pop songs while the before mentioned ‘Gold’ and ‘I'm so sorry’ are great rock songs. The single ‘I bet my life’ could be even counted as a mix of pop and folk music.

Also worth a mention are the lyrics. I think it's great that Imagine Dragons among others write about more than just the typical love story but about current and important topics. The main one on this album is probably mental health, a topic that is not talked about enough.

And really, what I just want to say: this album is fantastic.
